Ilbarritz beach is the first beach before arriving in the center of Bidart, just after Milady, coming down from Biarritz. It is just behind the Ilbarritz golf course and overlooked by the castle of the same name.
The spot is relatively accessible and works best at low and mid-tide. It is suitable for all types of surfers whether they are beginners or experienced. Although this is a beachbreak, still be careful as there are a few rocks south of the beach.
Be careful in summer, the spot is very busy, you will have to be careful of other surfers in the water.
There you will find parking, public showers and toilets, and restaurants.
