The Eusko is the local currency of the Basque Country, and even the largest in Europe since 2018 created by the association Euskal Moneta. Its objective is to develop short circuits and thus support the local economy and promote ecological transition.

This year, the Bidart Tourist Office is participating in the " Holidays in Basque »Which invites you to make your contribution by consuming Eusko at the merchants involved and discovering the Basque Country through the 7 circuits created.

How does it work?

To participate in the scheme, all you have to do is open an online account on the " Holidays in Basque »And load this account with his bank card.
At the end of the holidays, it will be possible to close the online account, or to order with the balance a peasant basket to receive at home on return from the holidays.

If you want to have eusko tickets, you can either buy a 20 € or 50 € Eusko Holidays envelope at the Tourist Office, or, from your Eusko Holidays account, make a withdrawal of the amount of your choice in the one of 30 Eusko exchange offices.

How much does it cost ?

The Holidays account in Eusko costs € 2, for a maximum of two months. No other charges will be applied.
