To get to Bidart while limiting your carbon footprint ????
To join us by train, several stations are available to you (north side from Biarritz and Bayonne, south side from Guéthary and Saint Jean de Luz) whether by TGV/TER or Intercité by night because the SNCF has relaunched its legendary night train which connects the Parisian capital to the Basque Country! We will leave it to you to choose between the cabin (for optimal comfort) or the reclining seats for purists and small budgets! Others will enjoy arriving by carpool or even by bike because, as you know, we are located on the Velodyssée axis.
Then, once you arrive in our Basque Country, you can count on the network Txik – Txak (here the X is pronounced “Ch” so we will say “Tchick-Tchack”)!
Several bus lines serve Bidart: 3, 4, 38, 44 and 46. The Txik Txak application offers a route calculator for traveling in the Basque Country. And if you don't like the bus, other modes of travel are available, whether by tandem bike (you might as well share the pleasure as a couple) with bicycles. PONY self-service, electric bike rental from one of our partners or even with car sharing WOW (Aupa meaning “Come on” in a sense of encouragement, in Basque).

Marty Bike Rental, Bidart Bike or the Press House offer you to rent bicycles, classic or electric. For the more daring, take the classic option and for those who wish to limit their efforts (and the sweat that goes with it), choose the second option 😅.
Bidart is beautiful but it’s high! We make no secret of the fact that our cliffs are synonymous with height differences, so don't be surprised when you arrive by the hills you have to face. Don't panic, we also have a flat (and yes everything is possible) and secure route, the Greenway of Uhabia . Ideal for families and for reaching Uhabia beach in one direction or Bassilour mill (favorite spot for a gourmet break) in the other. For those who choose to drive along the coast to reach Biarritz or Saint Jean de Luz, it will be appropriate to take the Velodyssey.
Alongside these two emblematic routes, numerous trails have been developed for cycling. Streets are now shared to leave a little more room for cyclists! Le Domaine de Bassilour, the first hotel in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region to hold the European eco-label and a pioneer in sustainable commitment, is launching a unique novelty in spring 2024: an edible wild forest.
The concept of the edible forest? It is an agroforestry ecosystem that combines fruit trees, shrubs and edible plants to create a sustainable source of local food as well as a sustainable and diverse food ecosystem. Discover the discipline of coastal rescue with them by participating in the club's courses and courses (from 9 years old).
