Chantal Eberlé-Bréant is self-taught, in love with drawing since childhood, she specialized in oil painting and the representation of the sea. Raging ocean, foaming waves..., in the fluidity of the medium, she can render the transparencies of the water, the brilliance of the foam, the shine and the movement of an always rough sea. She won the prize in the 2018 competition on the theme of the sea. And the 6th prize in 2019 of Pinceaux d’Automne on the theme “Shadows and Lights”.
Claude Bréant left the evanescence of watercolor for a more graphic and spontaneous means of expression: acrylic and pastel. A way of
translate with a more vivid line impressions “photographed” during walks. The common thread of these new images? Water and skies. As for the trees, “light filters”, they are in more intimate landscapes.
