Roadshow in Germany – Willkommen!
Emma represented Bidart, alongside the collective of destinations of New Aquitaine (Bordeaux, Lascaux Caves, La Cité du Vin, Cognac etc.) during a roadshow in Germany from April 9 to 12 to meet German tour operators (TO).
3 main objectives:

– Present the new features for 2024 and put our destination back on the radar of the press and influencers
– Strengthen and/or establish partnerships with tourism professionals based in Germany

Spring

Press conference in Bilbao – “Know-how and gastronomy”
We are continuing the partnership with the ADT and the Tourist Offices of the Basque Country on canvassing towards the customer areas of “Northern Spain” and mainly towards Hegoalde.
A press conference in March was held in Bilbao on the theme of "Know-how and gastronomy" in Iparralde. Nearly 16 journalists were present, a great spotlight for Iparralde!
On this occasion we brought Jon Tambourindeguy from Ona Pilota to explain his know-how and to give a small demonstration of ball making/repair.

French customers
In the spring, during a press trip organized in collaboration with the Tourist Offices of the Basque Country and the Departmental Tourism Agency, our partners welcomed the team of Benjamin Téry aka @globtolter for the website : HOURRAIL.
Hourrail is a veritable mine of information for lovers of “low carbon” travel (by which I mean stays that limit the use of transport as much as possible) and suggests trips by train, on foot and by bike.
Benjamin and his collaborator Alexis, stayed almost a week in the Basque Country and were able to enjoy a 48-hour break in Bidart in order to test a few establishments and activities in line with the philosophy of the HOURRAIL team.

Autumn
Press conference in Donostia/San Sebastian
Once the summer season was over, Ihintza went to Donsotia, a good opportunity to present the 'off-season' cultural agenda to different media in Bilbao. The main objective of this press conference is to highlight events, projects that are different and out of the ordinary. The press release was shared with the main media such as El Correo, Diario Vasco and Radio Euskadi.

Spring

“Northern Spain” basin
In the spring, Naia traveled to Bilbao during a press conference to discuss the highlights of spring and the pre-season.
The opportunity for the Bidart Tourist Office to see again the certain journalists and influencers welcomed last fall on the Basque Coast.
Dutch clientele
At the beginning of June, we welcomed Tim Bilman, a journalist who works for the magazine columbus travel in Holland. His double role of journalist and “travel influencer” will allow the distribution of articles and publications on social networks within a few weeks.
We discussed with him the issues of family travel, the art of living in the Basque Country, our strategy to preserve our coastline and issues related to erosion in the Basque Country.
