Who says "summer", says (among others) markets!

This summer, during your vacation in Bidart, you can do your shopping in one of the 3 markets that take place every week on Place Sauveur Atchoarena, in the heart of the village.

The traditional market

Every Saturday the traditional market des 4 seasons also takes place in summer, from 9 a.m. to 13 p.m.
There you will find different local food products and also some craft stalls.

You are now an expert on bidartar markets: the shopping is yours!

Bidart'Eko farmer's market

Every Tuesday, from July to mid-September, the Bidart'Eko farmer's market takes place from 9 a.m. to 13 p.m.
On the food side, you will find local products such as Basque Kintoa pork, cold meats, foie gras and canned duck, sheep cheese, Espelette peppers and chilli-based products, squid ...
For gourmets, in the "sweet" category: Basque cakes, jams and honey, caramels (and cosmetics) with pottok milk ...
And for drinks: cider and apple juice, Irouleguy wine, craft beers or fruit liqueurs.

You can also discover local artisans such as "The Basque Cutlers" or the manufacturer / repairer of chistera gloves and Basque balls "Ona Pilota".

The Basque pelota club the Kostakoak will also be present in this market.
You can book tickets directly with them for the pelota games at Grand Chistera which take place every Tuesday and Friday, at 21 p.m. at the large pediment, with the best players in the discipline.

The night market

Every Thursday, in July and August, a night market takes place from 18 a.m. to 23 p.m.
It is a craft market, ideal for finding souvenirs or gifts to bring back from your vacation.
Basque pottery and linens, sneakers, soaps and cosmetics, jewelry, leather goods, fabric pouches and wipes, glasses, ready-to-wear, candles, decorative mobiles, Mango Beat ecological speakers, decorative surfboards, basketwork, children's creations, bells and wreaths of flowers, posters, photographs, ephemeral tattoos, phone accessories… There is something for everyone and you will be spoiled for choice!

To extend the evening, you can have a drink on one of the 3 terraces in the square or dine in one of the restaurants in the center.
