For Nicole, the work must create intimate links, she remembers from Pierre Soulage: The reality of a work is the relationship that is created between the thing it is, the one who produces it and the one who looks at it. She paints what her imagination inscribes in space: a set of abstract shapes, colors, values, a transfigured reality. A spontaneous artist, her brush masters the delicate balance between ardor and serenity, served by spontaneous but always subtly controlled gestures.
