The Bidart Tourist Office works in collaboration with the Departmental Tourism Agency 64 Béarn Basque Country on updating and maintaining the department's tourist observatory. Every month we receive a report on tourist attendance at establishments and an analysis of the origins of the main clienteles.

In the Basque Country

This summer, the ADT 64 observatory cell told us that it had recorded:

This year, we observe a drop in tourist numbers in the Basque Country of -3% for the month of August, stagnation for the month of July and an increase of 2% for the month of September.

The origin of tourists for this season is 68% French and 32% foreign with a slight increase in foreign customers observed in September.

The Germans have returned a little more this year, as have the Swiss and the Belgians. Our majority clientele remains without much surprise the Spanish clientele which dominates the ranking.

This year, we observe a drop in tourist attendance (staying and passing through) in Bidart of -8% for the month of July and for the month of August, but attendance remains similar to 2022 for the month of September.

The origin of tourists for this season is 71% French and 29% foreign with a slight increase in foreign customers observed in September.

The Germans have returned a little more this year, especially in September, as have the Swiss and the Belgians. Our majority clientele remains the Spanish clientele which dominates the ranking.
