As you know, it has been several years since the team chose to commit to the Tourisme & Handicap label. This year, with the recruitment of our collaborator Eva and the precious help of Timothée & Julie, we were able to go further on the subject.

the Tourism & Disability Label

The Bidart Tourist Office has held the tourism and disability label for the 4 aspects (motor, visual, auditory, mental) since 2013.

Beyond the equipment and adjustments made to the reception area and our working techniques, committing to this label was for the whole team a first awareness to think and think about reception differently. .

And then we met Julie & Timothy...

Holidays and accessibility

From this meeting, we have drawn many benefits to progress on our tools. Timothée and his mother, by their open-mindedness, their sense of sharing and their passion for adventure opened our eyes to the issue of disability on vacation.

Since then we have created with him a section on the website "Timothy's tips" Where he shares all the tourist sites and getaways he has been able to test in recent years to help families organize their stay.

And to go further, our 2023 project is this guide “Accessible Bidart”, a creation 100% made internally by Eva within our team, in collaboration with Julie, Timothée and our partners.

The purpose of this guide is to bring together a summary of practical information to make the organization of the stay as fluid and simple as possible!

We'll let you throw a 👀 below and we'll be available to improve it!
