Bidart takes to the games

As you know, France is hosting the Olympic Games this summer 2024. We do not have an official event in Bidart but that does not mean that we are not participating in the momentum of this global sporting adventure. On this occasion, the municipality wanted to highlight the sports associations of Bidart (particularly for the Olympic disciplines) and the sports activities offered to children at the leisure center. Find without further delay here the film representing the sports of Bidart: Judo with Bidarteko Dojo, golf session at Ilbarritz international training center, tennis or rugby at the Kirolak sports complex, coastal rescue or surfing on one of our 6 beaches or even a bike ride with the Bidart cyclo club !

For running and trail addicts, you have chosen the right destination. Between ocean, forest, height difference and preserved routes, you are spoiled for choice. To give you a helping hand, Gilles, our partner Land of Running and its community of trail and running enthusiasts have identified 4 courses of different levels which are available on our interactive map HERE. Now it's up to you to finally play your legs!

Mendi Talde’s hiking trips

Since its creation in 1982, the Sports Association “Menditalde”  aims to encourage and support all initiatives tending to promote the practice of mountain hiking ⛰️ in a spirit of conviviality. It is in this context that for several years, its volunteers have been offering supervised hiking outings (free participation) to share this passion with our visitors.

And because every nature lover likes to preserve it, travel is done by carpooling.

The appointment is made in the stadium parking lot, every Thursday at 7:45 a.m. for departure at 8 a.m.. The itinerary is determined at the time depending on the level of the group and the weather conditions, we call this adaptation! If you want to know more about our mountains, here are some hikes not to miss.
