Whether you are trying your hand at surfing, body boarding or standup paddling, building sand castles or simply relaxing, each beach has its own personality. It's up to you to dive in! They are all monitored during the summer and equipped with public showers and WC. Close to Biarritz, Plage d’Ilbarritz is the northernmost beach of Bidart. Its emblematic castle overlooks the beach. With its promenade and children's playground, it is a family beach where you can learn to surf with Bidart Surf Academy and Alaia Surf Club. It is also accessible to people with reduced mobility.For a drink or something to eat while watching the sunset, Plancha d’Ilbarritz or Blue Cargo eagerly await you.
Next door, discover Plage du Pavillon Royal named after the mansion situated there. The Pavillon Royal campsite also enjoys this breathtaking view of the ocean. It is one of the largest natural beaches in Bidart. Lagoondy Surf Camp is also located here.
Below a cliff, Plage d’Erretegia is the starting point of the Coastal Trail. You can enjoy the petanque court facing the ocean and the various options offered by the following surf schools: Quiksilver Christophe Reinhardt and Ecole de la Glisse. La Crampote's restaurant menu will satisfy your taste buds at night evening as well as all day long.In the heart of the village, Plage du Centre is the meeting place for families and surfers with Bidarteko Surf Club and Ecole des Vagues.
For a bite to eat, head towards the Snack de la Plage or book a table at Tantina de la Playa.
Plage de l’Uhabia is located along the main road, close to many shops and restaurants, which makes it attractive and easy to access. It can accommodate people with reduced mobility, water wheelchairs are available at the first aid station. Stop in the H2O surf school for some fun or grab a bite to eat at the bar restaurant Bleu Blanc Jaune directly accessible from the beach.
Parlementia is the southernmost beach of Bidart. A surfer's paradise with its legendary waves and a stop along the coastal trail, this beach offers a beautiful view of Hendaye in Biarritz. Take surf lessons with the Guéthary Surf School and discover the exotic menu of restaurant Bahia Beach.
