The wash house was renovated in 1934: its basin was redone in cement and covered with a roof. The collection of the source has kept its original appearance. It is fed by the source Plazako Ithurria, or source of the place. If its water is no longer drinkable today, it was used by the inhabitants of the center, filled with its constant freshness (15 °).
Other sources exist in Bidart including Contresta. Called "royal source", it gained recognition following the discovery of its therapeutic virtues. It was indeed used as a cure against urinary tract infections and arthritis. The water from this source is no longer drinkable today.
