For those who like walks

• A guide showing 4 marked footpaths in and around Bidart is on sale at the Tourist Information Office.

  Buy it quickly, and discover Bidart via its back roads

• At the Erretegia beach, is the starting point for the Sentier Littoral (Coastal Path) which finishes at Hendaye, 25km away.

• For those who wish to be accompanied, the association Menditalde organises 4 hikes during July and August; the aim being to hike up a few Basque mountains but without great difficulty. Open to all walkers in good health. Unaccompanied teenagers, but with parental authorisation, are accepted from the age 12. Dogs are not accepted.

Organisation :
The trip to the point of departure - not further away than 30km - is by car, .  The end of the hike is at 5 p.m.  The hikers are accompanied by two people in charge of the club Menditalde.  They are responsible for the day trip.  Some form of identity is obligatory. To follow the route more easily, you can use the IGN map (ordonnance survey) randonnée pyrénéenne au 1/50 000e:pays basque ouest.
You must write down your name, address and an emergency contact telephone number to be given to the person in charge at the moment of departure.
